Caleb, a 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m) small forward played basketball for prep powerhouse Oak Hill Academy alongside twin brother Cody Martin. Before playing at Oak Hill, he and his brother played 3 seasons at Davie County High School in Mocksville. Martin also played football during his Freshman year of high school. College career

Charlotte Hornets (2019-2021)
Following going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, Caleb signed with the Charlotte Hornets on July 31. 2019. Martin joined his brother Cody, who was picked in the 2nd round of the draft. The Hornets converted his deal into a two-way deal on October 19, 2019. Later that day, he agreed to a multi-year contract with the team which was converted to a standard deal.
