Duane Eddy Washington Jr. is a recognized American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays on a two-way deal with the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League. Washington played college basketball for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is the son of former NBA player Duane Washington.

Early life and high school career
Duane was born in Frankfurt, Germany, while his father was playing for Skyliners Frankfurt. He was brought up in Grand Rapid, Michigan, and attended Grand Rapids Christian High School for his first 3 years. Washington averaged 13.1 points and 4.5 assists as a junior. He then transferred to go to his uncle Derek Fisher’s basketball camp and live with Fisher. During his time at Sierra Canyon, Duane played together with Cassius Stanley, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Kenyon Martin Jr. He then averaged 15.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and 3.8 assists per game as a senior.

He was considered a four-star recruit by ESPN, and a three-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals. Duane committed on September 20, 2017, to play college basketball for Ohio State against offers from teams including UCLA, Michigan, and Butler.
College career
In his second game at Ohio State over Purdue Fort Wayne, he scored 20 points in 21 minutes off the bench. For the year, Washington played in 35 games, starting 2 of them. Duane then averaged 7 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, and 17.2 minutes per game. In his sophomore year, he scored 20 points in a game 2 times, matching his career-high at the time. Washington together with small forward Luther Muhammad, was suspended for the Nebraska game on January 14, 2019, for ”failure to meet program standards”. In total, he played in 28 games and began 15 of them, and averaged 11.5 points per game, which rated 2nd on the team.
Duane scored a career-high 30 points in an 87-92 defeat to Michigan in his junior season. Professional career
Indiana Pacers (2021-2022)
Following going undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft, he signed a two-way deal with the Indiana Pacers on August 5, 2021, splitting time with their G League affiliate, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He then scored a team-high 21 points, knocking down seven 3-pointers, setting a franchise record for most threes by a rookie while becoming the 36th rookie in league history to hit 7 3s in a game. The Pacers then converted his two-way deal into a standard one on April 7. He was later waived by the Pacers on July 14, 2022.
Phoenix Suns (2022-2023)
