Martin Albert Frederic Terrier is a famous French professional footballer who plays as a forward or winger for Ligue 1 club Rennes. Lille

Martin began his football profession with the SC Bailleul youth team, prior to moving to Lille in 2004. He was then called up for the Lille first team in 2016. Terrier made his Ligue 1 debut on October 22, against Bastia at Stade Pierre-Mauroy, substituting Yves Bissouma in the 84th minute. He played the whole match in the round of 16 of the Coupe de la Ligue in a 3-1 away loss to PSG on December 14. Terrier then scored his first professional goal in the 90th minute of a 4-1 home victory in the round of 64 of Coupe de France over Excelsior on January 7, 2017.

He scored his first goal in Ligue 1 on April 29, as a substitute, in the 75th minute of a 3-0 away victory against Montpellier. On August 18, 2017, he was signed by fellow Ligue 1 side Strasbourg on a season-long loan contract. Terrier made his debut in a 2-0 away loss to Guingamp, playing the entire match on August 27. He then scored his first goal as a substitute in the second minute of added time, in a 1-1 away draw against Dijon on September 30.

Lyon

Terrier was traded by Lille to Lyon for €11 million, with a potential €4 million addition, with Lille keeping 10% of a future fee on January 26, 2018. He signed till the summer of 2022. Lyon then loaned him straight back to Strasbourg so that he would complete his deal there. Terrier scored his debut for Lyon, opening a 2-0 home victory against Strasbourg on August 24. He then scored his first European goal in a 2-0 victory at RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League group stage on October 2, 2019. He started ahead of Moussa Dembele and Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

Rennes

Rennes revealed on July 6, 2020, that Martin had signed a 5-year deal with the club, for a reported €12 million plus bonus fees. Terrier then made his debut playing the full 90 minutes of the season opener away to his former club Lille on August 22, after one week he was sent off in a 2-1 home victory against Montpellier. He opened the account with the first goal of a 1-1 draw at Dijon on October 16. Terrier finally completed the season with 9 goals, consisting of two at home to the same opponents in a 5-1 victory on April 25, 2021.

In 2021-22, he scored his first goal in the 3rd match, the only one of a Derby Breton victory against Nantes at Roazhon Park on August 22. He then scored his first hat trick in a 5-0 victory at Saint-Etienne on December 5. The season was the most fruitful of his career with 21 goals, joint 3rd in the league following Kylian Mbappe and Wissam Ben Yedder and equal to Moussa Dembele. Terrier was the UNFP Player of the Month for March and made the Team of the Year.
